Research of Front Cover

For my next task i had to research other magazines and articles to get an idea of how a professional magazine is created and laid out. Firstly i will analyze the front cover of a magazine.  I chose this magazine because i really like the colours and how it is laid out. This is the first magazine that caught my attention, this was due to the bright bold colours and attracting fonts. I would love my magazine to look like this and will continue to research 'Empire' magazine more as i further my magazine creation. However this magazine isn't a music magazine which is what magazine i must create for my final task but on the front cover of this magazine i will concentrate on the layout and the mixture of fonts and colours. I especially like the mixture of red and yellow along with the black and white. In this magazine we have one main star which is Johnny Depp who stands out in the middle of the front cover. I presume this picture was taken on a photo shoot as it looks very professional with extreme detail.  Next we see a main heading at the top of the page which is the title of the magazine and this is in big bold red text, and we have many subheadings in bold text but in black and yellow. These are smaller than the main heading but still large enough to catch your eye and hook you in. We also see the main star looking towards his audience (MOD) which is great direct address. Overall this is a very professional and very inviting front cover of a magazine.
